Ensō Out Now!

Unbelievably excited to say that my debut solo album is out now! It’s been such an incredible (and time consuming) process making this and I am so happy to finally hand it over to you. You can check it out here on bandcamp: https://larajones-saxophone.bandcamp.com/album/ens

Inspired by train journeys I have taken over the past year, I’ve been collecting field recordings of these journeys and they are the basis of each track on the album. I was lucky enough to complete writing & record my album at a residency at Capel Y Graig in mid Wales. It’s a truly beautiful space and it’s captured in the reverbs and long delays used. I am eternally grateful to the wonderful Avi Allen for giving me this time and space.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Manchester Jazz Festival who initially supported my solo project and funded the creation of the first 10 minutes. Without their support, belief and encouragement I wouldn’t be where I am today.

As always the biggest thank you ever to my beautiful wife to be Jess Rose & little Idris for their constant support in all these sounds I insist on making.

Prepare yourself for an emotional journey and if you’ve got a pair of headphones lying around, I recommend these for your listening experience. Thank you for following my journey so far.
